About the Role
We're seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Digital Book Development Instructor to lead our NextGen AI Authors program focused on teaching students how to leverage AI tools for creative writing, book creation, and digital product sales. In this role, you'll guide campers through the entire publishing journey—from initial concept and AI-assisted writing to formatting, publishing, and marketing their digital products online. This position offers an excellent opportunity to share your expertise while helping young creators develop valuable skills at the intersection of technology and creative entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students, fostering an engaging learning environment, and supporting student success through effective teaching practices. This role requires a commitment to academic excellence and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging curriculum on AI-assisted writing, book creation, and digital publishing fundamentals
Guide students through using AI tools like ChatGPT, Sudowrite, and other platforms to generate ideas, outline books, and create content
Teach effective AI prompting techniques to help students get quality results from AI writing assistants
Instruct campers on book formatting, cover design, and preparing digital products for various platforms
Provide hands-on training for digital marketing strategies, including online store setup, SEO, and social media promotion
Mentor students through the process of researching market demand and validating their digital product ideas
Facilitate discussions on digital product pricing, positioning, and building sustainable online businesses
Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback throughout the program
Collaborate with other instructors to ensure a cohesive learning experience across program tracks

Travel Requirements
Our positions require mobility and travel. Youth classes are conducted at local high schools or education buildings, not at our main office. Similarly, Tech It Easy classes are held off-site at nursing homes and adult care facilities throughout Cincinnati. However once you are assigned to an education building that will serve as your primary location. As an intern, you will be expected to travel to these various work sites and will only report to our main office once per week for team meetings and administrative tasks. Therefore, all applicants must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel approximately 25% of their work time. Additionally, our networking events and special programs are typically held at convention centers in the Cincinnati area. Reliable transportation is essential for this position, as you'll need to transport materials and equipment between locations. Please consider these travel requirements carefully before applying.

Requirements
Demonstrated experience with AI writing tools and digital publishing platforms
Knowledge of digital product creation, marketing, and online sales strategies
Understanding of self-publishing platforms and eBook creation processes
Experience with digital marketing and online business fundamentals
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to explain technical concepts in accessible ways
Experience teaching or mentoring youth (ages 13-21) preferred
Passion for creative writing, publishing, and helping young people develop entrepreneurial skills
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
Must consent to random drug testing as per foundation policy
Reliable transportation to our Cincinnati locations
