Tech Time Cincinnati’s Device Care team provides expert, in-person configuration for your smartphone, laptop, tablet, or wearable tech right here at our Cincinnati office. Whether you just purchased a new phone and need your data transferred safely, or you are trying to get an existing laptop to connect properly, our patient staff is here to help. We step in where the retail store leaves off handling the complicated account logins, accessory pairing, and seamless connections so you don't have to guess. Device Care is a dedicated setup, data transfer, and configuration service; while we do not repair broken hardware, if your device powers on, we will get it optimized for you. Appointments are quick, affordable, and jargon-free, ensuring you walk out completely confident in how to use your technology.

Cell Phone Device Care

New phone in a box, or old phone acting up? Either way, we'll get it talking, connected, and ready to go.

Includes:

  • New phone setup and activation walkthrough

  • Data transfer from your old phone (contacts, photos, messages)

  • Logging into your apps (email, social media, banking, streaming)

  • Email and account setup (Apple ID, Google account, Samsung account)

  • Contact and calendar transfer

  • Bluetooth pairing laptop, headphones, etc.

  • Wi-Fi connection setup

  • Accessibility settings (larger text, voice control, hearing aids, etc.)

  • Setting up health apps (step tracking, medication reminders) or payment apps (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App)

Head to our Cincinnati office at your scheduled time with your device, charger, and any passwords or account info you have.

3. We Set It Up, Together

Our staff sets up, connects, and configures your device right in front of you asking questions along the way so it's set up your way.

4. Walk Out Ready to Go

Before you leave, we'll walk you through how to use it. No confusing settings, no guesswork just a device that works and the confidence to use it.

Walk-ins are available, appointments are encouraged for faster service.

Your Appointment

What to bring to your appointment:

  • The device you want set up (phone, laptop, tablet, or wearable)

  • Your charger and/or charging cable

  • Your old device, if you're transferring data from it

  • Passwords for your email, Apple ID, Google account, or Microsoft account

  • Your Wi-Fi network name and password (if setting up at home later, or if you'd like it saved on the device)

  • Any PINs or passcodes currently on your device

  • A list of the apps you use most (banking, health, social media, etc.), if you have one

  • Your phone number and carrier name, if setting up a new phone (Verizon, T-Mobile, Metro, etc.)

Senior Flex Fridays

Are you 65 or older and just need basic troubleshooting or help clearing up storage space on a phone you already own? Visit us on Flex Fridays between [Insert Time] for free, walk-in support.

Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?
We recommend booking an appointment so we can make sure a staff member is ready for you right when you arrive. Walk-ins are welcome when space allows, but appointments get priority and shorter wait times.

Do you fix broken screens or damaged devices?
No Device Care is a setup and connection service only. We don't repair cracked screens, water damage, broken buttons, or other hardware issues. If your device turns on and works, we can help you set it up and connect it.

How long does an appointment take?
Most Cell Phone or Supportive Device appointments take 30–45 minutes. Laptop and Tablet setups, especially with data transfer, typically take 45–90 minutes. If your setup is more involved, we'll let you know at booking.

What brands and devices do you support?
We support all major brands iPhone and Android phones, Windows and Mac laptops, iPad and Android tablets, and popular wearables like Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, AirPods, Galaxy Buds, and Meta smart glasses.

Is there a fee for this service?
Yes, Device Care has a small fee that helps support our nonprofit mission and keep this service available to the whole community. Pricing depends on the service and complexity of your setup see our pricing guide below, or ask our staff when you book.
