Job Overview
We're seeking a patient, enthusiastic Technology Teacher for Seniors to join our team and make a real difference in seniors' lives through our popular "Tech It Easy" program. You'll travel to nursing homes, senior centers, and community locations throughout Cincinnati, providing supportive technology education that empowers older adults to connect with family, access resources, and navigate the digital world safely.

Responsibilities
Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and activities that promote critical thinking and active participation.
Assess student performance through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that caters to diverse learning styles.
Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration regarding academic performance and any concerns.
Stay current with educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the curriculum.
Create and deliver structured lessons on computer basics, smartphone navigation, and internet safety
Teach essential skills: email, internet browsing, video calling, online safety, and social media
Adapt teaching methods for different learning styles and comfort levels
Travel to multiple community partner locations throughout Cincinnati
Create a welcoming, patient environment that reduces technology anxiety
Build meaningful relationships with participants and celebrate their progress

Requirements

Experience Required

  • Previous teaching or instructional experience is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to create lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.

  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences is a plus.

  • Teaching, training, or customer service experience

  • Exceptional patience and communication skills

  • Comfortable with smartphones, tablets, and computers

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

  • Ability to pass background check

  • Passion for helping seniors learn and grow


Preferred:

  • A degree from a recognized university in the relevant subject area

  • Experience working with older adults

  • Adult education or training background

  • Basic IT troubleshooting skills
