About the Role

Are you patient, tech-savvy, and looking to make a tangible impact in your community? Tech Time Cincinnati Foundation is seeking enthusiastic Technology Instructors to join our "Tech It Easy" program at the Forest Park Library. In this role, you will bridge the digital divide for older adults, empowering them to connect with loved ones, access health resources, and navigate the internet safely. You will create a supportive, anxiety-free environment where seniors can ask questions and learn at their own pace. Whether you are an Education, Social Work, or Tech major, this role offers hands-on experience in curriculum delivery, adaptive teaching, and community engagement.

Responsibilities:
Lead & Teach: Deliver engaging, beginner-friendly lessons on smartphone basics, computer navigation, and internet safety.

One-on-One Support: Provide patient, personalized assistance during "tech drop-in" help sessions to troubleshoot specific device issues.

Create Confidence: Foster an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere that reduces technology anxiety for diverse learners.

Collaborate: Work with our team to refine lesson plans and incorporate feedback from participants.
Track Progress: Celebrate small wins with participants as they master new skills like video calling or sending emails.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Required:

    • Exceptional patience and strong verbal communication skills.

    • Comfortable using and troubleshooting smartphones (iOS/Android), tablets, and computers.

    • Reliable transportation to the Forest Park Library 

  • Preferred:

    • Experience in teaching, tutoring, or customer service.

    • Background or interest in Adult Education, Gerontology, or Social Work.

    • Basic IT troubleshooting skills.
